The next morning it all seemed like it might be over. The show was cancelled as expected. They never got any response from the cast after the cancellation. When you're trying to find some sort of way to get them to watch your show if it's all gone, it seems silly to think there's some kind of deal in place in some sort of backstage deal with a union. A union is what union membership is. An indie fan-base. An independent fan-base. A fan-base without a job or a home. A fan-base with no chance of even getting one of those places to exist in the first place.
All of which makes the very thing they might have hoped for most, if they had any hope at all, all the more laughable.

Police swooped on an upscale estate for three hours to arrest the brother-in-law of the DUP MLA in east Belfast as he attempted to evade capture, it has been reported.
A police spokesman said the family's property in St Ann's Road was searched but the home had not been searched as the home had already been searched at St Ann's in September.
He said the men arrested will be held on an Interpol warrant, but would not confirm details about their alleged business activities.
Mr Kenny has refused to give details about the property and said it was not the place where the DUP leader lives as he was the sitting MP and chair of the Stormont committee.
"We are going to have a conversation with the people in the area," he said.
He refused to say if he could comment further.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We have been made aware of a suspected road scam. Three men have been arrested in relation to this matter."
They said they believe the scheme is linked to another alleged road scam at the nearby town of Sluit and also that their operations were linked to "potentially criminal activity in the area".
The DUP had been leading calls for the former leader to be formally accused of serious criminal conduct for the alleged fraud he is alleged to have orchestrated in the north's most affluent and exclusive area.
Mr Kenny's business interests at the estate include land development, hospitality, property, a golf club, a bank and, most recently, a jewellery production business.
The DUP has said Mr Kenny's conduct during the crisis in the province was the equivalent of the worst abuse in the past 300 years, with no attempt made to correct any behaviour.
He has denied allegations of abuse while he was a member of the Executive Council of Sinn Féin.
The land for which the three men have been arrested appeared in the Ulster House Land Registry in the county of Down.
